Spicy Ginger Sesame Roasted Brussel Sprouts Recipe
Brussel Sprouts are delicious, if you cook them right. I was looking for a ginger sesame, asian-style brussel sprouts recipe and found a few good ones out there. I tried them out and ended up developing my own kick-ass recipe using a dressing in my pantry, Trader Joe's Soyaki. Try it out and let me know what you think in the comments!
Ingredients/Supplies:
Pan
1 lb Brussel Spouts
2 Tbsp of oil (olive, grape seed, sesame or avocado)
1/4- 1/3 cup Soyaki - if you don’t have access to this, want to reduce sugar or want to make it yourself, here’s a copycat recipe. Just mix all the ingredients below together.
2 Tbsp of rice vinegar
3 Tbsp soy sauce or liquid aminos
2 Tsp miso paste (optional)
1 Tsp grated ginger
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 Tsp sesame seeds
1-2 Tbsp Sambal chili paste (this stuff is a bit spicy so adjust as needed)
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450°F
Wash and cut brussel sprouts in half
Toss brussel sprouts in oil, Soyaki and Sambal chili paste (The more dressing you add, the less crispy it will be and the longer you’ll need to cook to make the sprouts crispy)
Add brussel sprouts to silicone lined baking pan
Place in oven for 40-55 min
Take out half way through to toss
When done roasting, top with sesame seeds. Add salt if needed.
